Medical Biller Job Description
Rose Pediatric Care is currently seeking a Medical Biller with experience in pediatrics to join our practice Lanham, MD.
As a Medical Biller, you would be responsible for:
- Following up with insurance companies and ensuring claims are paid and processed,
- Resubmitting insurance claims that have received no response,
- Working with patients and other staff to follow up on accounts until the balance is zero,
- Processing charge corrections per departmental requests,
- Utilizing all resources available to verify eligibility and claim status,
- Meeting departmental productivity and quality assurance standards,
- Complying with all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures and standards,
- Issuing and distributing invoices,
- Processing new contracts and sales
The preferred candidate will have a knowledge of HIPAA Privacy Policies, ICD-10, ICD-9, DRG coding systems, & experience in medical billing and terminology.
